Brief

Fanquest is an AI-powered fan engagement platform, where fans compete in a Fantasy Football-inspired quest game to earn exclusive prizes and ultimate fan experiences. As the sole designer working directly with the founding team, I led the full product and brand design from the ground up, building the app UI, brand identity, and marketing materials for a platform targeting launch across the NFL, MLB, NHL, and beyond. The project reached an MVP, go-to-market-ready state with the launch partnership never finalizing, leaving a fully designed and developed product without a public release.

Contribution

1. Quest Game System: designed the core gameplay loop where fans complete weekly loyalty and engagement quests to build their roster that earned randomly drawn player cards from the entire NFL roaster tied to Pro Football Focus metrics which traditional fantasy leagues overlook

2. Fanquest Duel: a rock-paper-scissors-style PVP mini game where fans draw a three card hand across offense, defense, and special teams, and battle against AI in a best-of-five for in-game prizes and roster boosts

3. Rewards & Giveaway Experience: prize and giveaway ecosystem, from weekly VIP prizes like signed merch and gameday experiences, to the Ultimate Fan Experience Giveaway offering playoff tickets and Super Bowl experiences tied to cumulative fan scores

4. Enterprise Team Dashboard: a full analytics and quest management dashboard for teams and leagues to configure fan engagement campaigns, monitor quest completions, track member activity, and manage giveaway distribution across the platform

Result

Fanquest reached full product completion and was GTM ready for the 2025 NFL season, with a working app and an expansion strategy targeting the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA and MLS. The platform was built to serve two audiences simultaneously, fans seeking rewarding game experiences, and teams seeking proprietary fan data to power personalized experiences and business intelligence. While the launch partnership never finalized and prevented public launch, the project represents a full end-to-end product design execution across a complex, multi-sided platform, from core gameplay and monetization UX to enterprise tooling and brand identity.
